Countertop microwaves are probably the most popular type but you can also buy built in machines. If you have more money to spend and want to make sure that you kitchen looks uncluttered then a built in microwave oven is a good choice. If, on the other hand, you just want convenience and a cheap price then a countertop model is best.
Overall, buying a new microwave isn't difficult as long as you take into account exactly what you require. Don't buy a machine just because it has good reviews - it's more important to get the best one for you.
